Good Blackjack Rules
To be a consistent winner at blackjack, you must play basic strategy and play in casinos with the most favorable playing rules. For example, a good rule for the player is to double down on any two cards vs. doubling on 10,11 only. You want to double on those soft hands (A-2 through A-7) when the dealer has a busting hand like a 2 through 6. Another good rule is where the dealer stays on all 17’s, including a soft 17.You have an advantage of 0.20% when the dealer stays on a soft 17. Other good rules include surrender, doubling down after split and resplitting of aces. These are just some of the rules you need to look for if you want to spend a lot of playing time in a specific casino. (for a list of good rules see KISS Guide to Gambling, pp78-82 & pp95)
