Hot tables

When first picking a craps table to play, be alert to the pit supervisor’s attitude as you approach the craps area. Pit bosses and floor men normally will give their full attention to the “hot tables”, tables where there is a lot of action and the players are winning. For that reason, you should look for the table that is getting all the attention. Conversely, if the staff appears to be joking, chatting, and generally relaxed rather than tense, it’s a sure sigh that none of the tables are “hot”. You are better off moving to another pit, or even another casino when you encounter a “cold table“.
