World Series of Poker
The World Series of Poker in 2004 was held at Binion’s Horseshoe Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The winning player was Greg Raymer, age 39, he won $5 million. Second place went to David Williams from Dallas Texas who received a $3.5 million award. The series started on May 23, with a total 2,576 players and ended on Friday, May 28th, with only one player with all the chips. The final round found both players with a full house. Raymer had 2’s over 8’s, and Williams held 2’s over 4’s, two powerful hands in Hold’em.
