Ten Positive Rules for Gambling

1.      Budget your gambling funds for the trip, day and session.

2.      Gamble only with money you can afford to lose.

3.      Decide beforehand how much you want to spend during your visit. Don’t use tomorrow’s    funds today; otherwise there will be no tomorrow.

4.      Set a goal for winning, for example, double your buy-in or 50 percent of your starting bankroll.

5.      When winning, increase the size of your bets; when losing decrease it.

6.      Never play when you’re tired or had too much to drink.

7.      Play only at tables or machines you can afford.

8.      Keep your gambling expectations reasonable. Don’t expect to make $1,000 when you start with $100.

9.      Continue to analyze five consecutive actions of play, decide to continue or leave based on the trend.

10. Have fun, and always try and quit while you’re ahead
