On December 18, 2004, customers at Bluffs Run Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa hit the jackpot not on a slot machine but on the bill change machine. An employee mistakenly place $100 bills instead of $20’s in the machine and before management discovered the mistake $46,640 was lost after only six hours. The casino reviewed surveillance tapes to try to recover some of their money but had little luck.
