Winning at Blackjack

You love the game of blackjack, but you’re not a card counter. You still want to leave the table a winner. If you “flat” bet, make the same bet each time, the casino will always win in the long run. Remember, since the dealer plays last, the house will always win 51% of the time and you will win only 49%. Even if you are an expert basic strategy player, the house will always be the winner in the long run. One way to overcome those odds is by varying your bets to help increase your win-rate. What you do is raise your bet only after a win. Say your bet is five dollars. If you lose, bet five again, if you win you still bet five, but the difference is there is ten dollars already in your betting square from the previous hand. What you are really doing is making a fifteen-dollar bet after a five-dollar win. If you win, (30 is now in the betting square) take it all down and bet five again. What you are doing is trying to win only two hands in a row! You bet five each time, but sometimes there is ten waiting in the betting square (from a win). When it is all over, you still won only 49 hands out of 100, and the dealer won 51, but you won more money by varying your bets. If you can’t win two in a row, because a dealer might be a little hot, move to another table, pit or casino, don’t stay and loss all your funds.
