Money Management
This is a subject talked about by lots about players. The bottom line is money management by itself will not make you win more hands, or hit more jackpots on machines, but it will allow you to play more. Some experts say it can be as important as knowing how to play a game itself. There are a few things you can do to improve your money management skills and play a lot longer during a visit to the casinos. First, establish a set amount for your entire trip, but set aside funds that you will use for gambling only. That money is separate from expenses required for travel, food, hotel and entertainment. Next, set some goals that are specific and reasonably attainable. For example, you might want to double your bankroll, or at least improve it by 50 percent. Next, separate your bankroll into sessions. You are going to be at a casino resort for three days and you expect to play three times a day; morning, afternoon and evening. Set a given amount of monies for each different session. That would result in nine sessions over the three-day visit. You can’t expect to be a winner for all nine sessions, so keep each session monies separate. If you experience a losing streak in one session, don’t use funds from another session to continue to play. Doing that will result in a reduction in the amount of sessions you can play in. You also need to establish a “stop-loss” limit. If you should win early, set a loss limit so you can finish a winner. Another technique is to manage you betting level. Try and bet more when you are winning and less when going through a losing streak. Most players do the opposite. Lastly, try to have some fun, and always try and quit while you’re ahead.
