Blackjack card counting
Blackjack is different from most other games the casino offers because it is a game of dependent events. The cards that remain in a deck are dependent on which ones have been played or removed from the deck previously. Knowing what cards remain in the deck allows blackjack to become a game of skill. In fact the skill factor is so great that if you use the correct strategies in addition to card counting, you can beat the casino most of the time.
This is the reason casinos will ask you to leave if they think you might be a card counter. It’s important to understand that card counting in itself is not illegal in any casino, but casinos abide by the old English law that says, “Management has the right to refuse service.” The casino will deny you the privilege of playing blackjack in their facility if you appear to be a card counter. The courts have ruled on this matter many times and the casinos have always won.
