Las Vegas Hilton's $1 Million BJ Tournament Winner

A grandfather from New Jersey named Edward Rhodes, won the first "Million Dollar Blackjack Tournament" prize in Las Vegas at Hilton's yearlong blackjack competition. Two hundred players had qualified in individual tournaments around the country to reach the final seven - and a chance at the $1 million dollar first prize. Rhoades, who said he hadn't played in a blackjack tournament for years, won an important hand with only five hands remaining. This put him in first place where he remained capping the first place win. To qualify for the million dollar tournament each player had to pay a $1,000 entry fee.
